Bank of Scotland Credit Card

Bank of Scotland are not the only bank in Scotland to have withdrawn their leading Platinum Mastercard credit cards.

The Royal Bank of Scotland had also withdrawn 0% offers on their range of Platinum credit cards. In fact, Royal Bank of Scotland had no 0% introductory offers available on their range of credit cards for several years.

RBS, along with NatWest credit cards, announced at the end of February 2014 that the Royal Bank of Scotland would no longer offer 0% introductory offers to new customers.

Platinum credit cards, were originally a top level credit card. These cards were harder to get approved for and traditionally came with larger credit limits, like a credit card with a 5000 limit for example. These cards also came with many additional perks. However, now most platinum credit cards, remaining in the UK market, are mainstream cards available to many more customers.

This remaining Bank of Scotland Platinum credit card is issued by Bank of Scotland using the Mastercard payment system. Mastercard credit cards are widely accepted around the world.
