What are the most suitable credit cards for UK customers looking for 0% purchase credit cards, in 2024?
0% purchase credit cards are those credit cards which offer new customers a longer than average 0% introductory offer on purchases.
At the end of the introductory 0% offer period, the interest rate charged on any outstanding balance remaining on the card will revert to the card’s standard interest rate. This standard interest rate is now typically around 24.9% APR variable, on many UK credit cards.
0% purchase cards allow you as a customer to make purchases using your card and pay no interest on these purchases. This interest free period is for the length of your card’s 0% introductory offer period.
Customers will often use a 0% purchase credit card, like the Marks and Spencer credit card, for example, to make a higher value purchase. You can use your card to pay for this large purchase. With the 0% offer, you can then pay off the amount in monthly instalments.
For example, you could buy £3000 worth of household, or electrical goods, using a 0% purchase credit card, that offered 0% for 20 months on purchases.
You could then pay £150 per month, for 20 months and would be charged no interest. This is provided your purchase was made within the introductory 0% offer period. In addition you would also need, in this example, to have a credit card with a £3000 limit, or higher, on your new card.
0% Purchase Credit Cards
Most of the over 60 UK 0% credit cards currently available, do offer a 0% introductory offer on purchases. However, many of these credit cards only offer 0% for a small number of months on purchases. Often this 0% purchases offer is only for 3, or 6 months. These cards do however, often have a much longer 0% offer available on balance transfers.
There are a smaller number of UK credit cards that do have long 0% interest offers on purchases. These cards offer a much longer than average introductory 0% offer on purchases. These include all of the following popular featured credit cards:-

0% Purchase Credit Cards UK
It is essential that customers, who receive any new UK 0% purchase credit cards, make at least the monthly minimum credit card payment on time, each month to the card company. It is also important that customers do not spend any more than their credit card limit allows.
Many UK card companies will remove the 0% introductory offers due to late payment. This late payment will happen if you do not make the monthly payment on time.
Customers even with high limit credit cards in the UK, should also ensure they stay under their given credit limit. The card’s 0% introductory offers can also be withdrawn, if you exceed your given credit card limit.
Many of the UK cards with the very longest 0% introductory offers on purchases have now been removed from the market. As a result these cards are now no longer available to new customers.
0% purchase credit cards are available to UK customers as both Mastercard and Visa branded credit cards. Credit cards using either of these payment networks are accepted at millions of locations. This includes retailers, petrol stations, hotels and restaurants all around the world.
