HSBC Credit Card Application Decision?

How long does the HSBC credit card application decision take?

Some customers will receive an online decision at the end of the HSBC credit card application process. In these cases the customer will know immediately whether they have been accepted or declined for a HSBC credit card.

In other cases, the credit card decision will be referred and customers will see a notice at the end of the application that HSBC will be in touch. When this happens, the application will be passed to a credit analyst within the bank. This analyst may then request further information from the customer in order to make a decision.

Once your HSBC credit card application has been approved, the new card will be delivered to your address within 3 to 5 working days.

The credit limit given to a new HSBC credit card customer will vary depending on the individual financial circumstances of each customer.

The bank will use the information provided by the customer as part of their application, in order to calculate a suitable credit limit specific to that customer. This information, including monthly income and outgoings, as well as the information provided by a credit reference agency, will be used in the credit limit process.
