Are there any current Sainsbury’s credit card offers for existing customers?
Sainsbury’s Bank used to offer a wide range of credit card deals and offers. At one time the bank offered some of the longest 0% introductory offers available in the UK market.
However, recently the number of Sainsburys 0 credit card deals have been greatly reduced. The bank has removed many of their credit card from the market. In addition the remaining Sainsburys 0 credit card offer is now much shorter, than it once was.
There are two main reasons why the Sainsbury’s credit card offers for existing customers, as well as for new customers, have been reduced.
Firstly, the current cost of living crisis has led many banks to shorten their 0% introductory offers. This is due to rising levels of consumer debt.
In addition, Sainsbury’s Bank is now up for sale, and is open to offers. The supermarket retailer plans to exit from the financial business, and concentrate on food and retail.
Sainsburys Bank Balance Transfer Offers For Existing Customers
In general, if you have a bank account, or mortgage for example, with a particular bank, then you are often more likely to be accepted for a credit card issued by that bank. This is because the bank is likely to have a greater understanding, as an existing customer, of your overall use of money.
The Sainsbury’s credit card offers for existing customers are all available online. These current Sainsbury’s Bank interest free credit cards are now no different from the deals and offers, also available to all new customers.
However in the past there have been some Sainsburys bank balance transfer offers for existing customers only. These offers were only ever available to a small number of existing customers.
These carefully selected customers would receive an additional 0% balance transfer offer. This was designed to encourage them to transfer a balance, from another card, to their existing Sainsbury’s credit card.
As a result of Sainsbury’s Bank being up for sale, these Sainsbury’s credit card offers for existing customers are now unlikely to be available going forward.
However, there are Sainsburys bank balance transfer offers for existing customers available from a number of the other card companies. All of the following featured cards will accept balance transfers from Sainsbury’s credit cards.

Sainsburys 0 Credit Card
In past years the Sainsburys 0 credit card deals had offered 0% introductory deals on balance transfers which were for 0% for 40 months or more. The 0% purchase credit cards offers were never as long. However, Sainsbury’s did lead the market at one time in offering 0% for 24 months on purchases.
The Sainsbury’s credit card offers for existing customers, when available for selected customers were never as long as this. Generally these offers for the chosen customers were more likely to be 0% for 12, or 18 months.
These existing customer offers would also often have a higher balance transfer fee than the fee available to new customers.
The current Sainsbury’s credit cards are issued using the Mastercard payment network. Mastercard credit cards are accepted at millions of shops, restaurants, hotels and petrol stations around the world.
